Jacobs Homes, Inc. has been creating communities of distinction in the Northern Suburbs for 72 years. Our name and reputation as a builder with vision and integrity is built into every home. We pride ourselves on building residences of exceptional quality, which has allowed us an established record of continued success, generation after generation. Albert S. Jacobs, founder of Jacobs Homes was a visionary, who built his company on a simple philosophy that success is solely measured by the satisfaction of each homeowner. We are deeply committed to providing a solid foundation of value, an intimate level of customer service and an unrivaled degree of quality that has been instrumental to the growth of our reputation and earned us the recognition as a leader within the home builder arena.

In the late 40's Albert Jacobs purchased a tract of land and proceeded to sell homes for $12,000. With his eldest son Marvin at his side, the Jacobs legacy was born. This father and son team began to seek out development opportunities representative of exceptionally high standards. After a series of successful Northbrook developments Albert's youngest son Joe, joined the family business and together, these working class men built a solid foundation for the future of Jacobs Homes. For the next forty years, Jacobs Homes continued to break new ground pioneering the many luxuries we expect in a new home. Jacobs Homes was the first to offer customized floor plans, the first to offer air conditioning, the first to import materials to satisfy customer preferences as well as the first builder in Northbrook to use insulated sheathing and plaster walls in new home construction. Today, the dedication, quality and workmanship of the Jacobs team far exceeds industry standards. It is customary for our homes to go beyond minimum code requirements.

From the beginning when Albert Jacobs built his first home, he passed on his tradition of pride and service to his sons. Joe and Marvin continued the legacy that evolved into a company that built roughly 30 homes per year in the $500,000 - $1,000,000 range. That tradition continues in this new century with Keith Jacobs, Marvin's son, who joined the firm full time in 1983. Today, with an entrepreneurial spirit, Keith Jacobs has been named President and Chief Operating Officer and now builds 75 homes per year in the $300,000 to $6,000,000 price range. Marvin Jacobs now serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer and in his eighties, still plays an active role building communities of distinction. Setting new building trends, while maintaining the respect, honesty and integrity that his grandfather instilled decades ago is the way Jacobs Home conducts its business today and the way we build each and every home.
